The area around Llanerchindda has a wide range of country lanes and paths. You could walk a different path each day of your holiday, taking in some breath-taking scenery and stopping off at tearooms and pubs on the way.
You could even do the walk from Llanerchindda to Llanwrtyd Wells, have cream tea or lunch at the Drovers restaurant and return by train to Cynghordy Station.
For bird watchers, we have the famous red kites soaring overhead and buzzards calling to each other over the valley. You will usually see a wide variety of birds on our bird table on the patio and as you travel around the area. Don’t miss feeding time at the Red Kite centre. The area is ideal for road and mountain bikes, with some fantastic scenery and quiet country lanes and bridleways to explore. Electric Mountain Bikes can be hired and brought to the farm for you.
Artists and photographers are also very welcome. We have spectacular views from our patio and the option to paint in the conservatory on wet days.

Sat Map GPS available to hire
We havea Sat Map GPS system which has the entire UK 1:50,000 OS Landrange Map on it. We have uploaded a number of circular routes on to the GPS which can then be followed.
The Sat Map is designed for outdoor use and is available to hire.
